A CEO’s Vision
One fateful day, the General Manager of Al Moasron Group, Alaa Abu Soufeh, made the bold decision
to cross the busy Sahab highway road from the Al Moasron – Sigma offices to the other side. Little did
he know that this would be the day the Al Moasron Woven Plastic Bags idea would be born! It shows
that the most significant ideas can sometimes come from the smallest actions.
“As I stood in the middle of an empty dry land, I couldn't help but notice the makeshift homes
surrounding the area,” described Alaa Abu Soufeh, CEO of Al Moasron Group.
From his conversations, he learned that the daily income for several people was below the country’s
minimum wage. A deliveryman was struggling with a daily income of 15 JOD [20 USD], and after he
paid for fuel and other expenses, and debts, he is left with only 1 JOD [1.4 USD]. This amount barely
covers basic food expenses without meat or chicken. It is a challenging situation for many people trying
to make ends meet.
"It occurred to me that creating an industry here could provide employment opportunities for people
in the neighboring areas; I'm eager to explore the possibilities and positively impact the community,"
he expressed.
It dawned on him that building a factory in this location could provide job opportunities for the lowincome families [who resided there]. The women could work as seamstresses, while the youth could
work on the factory floor with high-tech machinery. Of course, they would need the necessary training
to excel at their jobs. This would be an excellent opportunity for the community to improve their
economic status.
Ecofriendly Technology
As the factory was being built, we sought hightech machinery to produce customized,
durable, environmentally friendly, highquality, cost-efficient, lightweight, and
breathable bags for agriculture, food, cement,
and other materials. Our plan was to transform
tiny polypropylene balls into yarn, which
would then be used to manufacture different
types and sizes of woven bags.
We wanted to ensure that our bags would meet
the highest standards in terms of quality and
sustainability while remaining affordable for
our customers. It was challenging, but we were
determined to create a product that would
positively affect the world.
The Decision Maker

In 2019, Al Moasron Woven Plastic Bags opened its doors,
“and I remember it like
it was yesterday. The atmosphere was
electric as we walked onto the factory
floor and heard the machines spring to
life,”
expressed Hadeel Abu Soufeh, Manager of Al Moasron Woven Plastic Bags.
Hadeel Abu Soufeh is the youngest and
only woman in her family to run a
business, alongside her three brothers,
who manage other factories within the Al
Moasron Group. She is a woman with a
disability and an adamant decision-maker.
As she was handed the keys, you could see
the pride and excitement in her eyes. As women, men, and people with disabilities walked to their posts
at the machines, the sound of the production of the pp yarns began to fill the air. It was amazing to
witness the birth of a new business, and I am excited to see what the future holds for Al Moasron Plastic
Bags.
“The bustling factory floor showcased Al Moasron Group's commitment to excellence, with state-ofthe-art machinery and eco-friendly practices. Leaving the factory, I was inspired by the dedicated
and passionate community of hardworking individuals creating the best products and supporting
each other every step of the way.”
Hadeel expressed.
Equal Employment Opportunities
Hadeel Abu Soufeh is an individual who has worked in the development sector with a
particular focus on the rights of people with disabilities. As a strong advocate for their
rights, she understands the challenges that people with different types of disabilities face
in finding jobs where the work environment is accessible and reasonable accommodations
are part of the company's value. When she joined Al Moasron Group, she was determined
to hire people with disabilities and create an accessible work environment. In addition, the
company offers free transportation, a cafeteria that serves hot meals and cold drinks, and
comprehensive health care insurance to all employees, recognizing that everyone deserves
reasonable accommodation and accessible services.
“Seeing how far we've come in just three years is incredible. The factory now employs
over 150 individuals, including women, men, and those with disabilities. We are proud
to export our products to countries in the Middle East and are working hard to expand
our reach to Europe and America. It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of
everyone involved, and I'm excited to see where we'll go next,”
says Hadeel, Manager of
Al Moasron Woven Plastic Bags.
Giving Back
Al Moasron Woven Plastic Bags is committed to giving back to communities and having a positive impact. We have witnessed our factory's impact on families in the vicinity, and we knew we could do more. That is why we set up a corporate social responsibility program to help low-income communities in their everyday lives. One of the ways we give back is by renovating public spaces like parks. We convert neglected, unsafe areas into green, secure environments where families, particularly children, can play. We also repair multistep staircases used daily by hundreds of individuals walking to and from their homes, ensuring they are safe and functional. Furthermore, we aim to create a healthy learning atmosphere for students of all ages. We ensure that classrooms in public schools are safe, with environmentally friendly and vibrant paint. We provide comfortable desks and chairs for students to study in comfort. By doing these things, we hope to make a difference in the lives of those around us and create a brighter future for everyone
